What an event! It came down to the last few holes! Historically, the winner of this event has been at -12. The first team out, (Cook, Hamm, Monogue, Saless) raced to -12 after the 11th hole. They took a +2 on #12 and stumbled on home to post a -15 to hope for the best. FULL RESULTS HERE
The second team out (Berndt, Hanson, Hulkonen, J Olson) also got to -12 after 11. They tied for the lead at -15 after #15 with 2 net birdies. Then dropped one at #16 with a pair of 8’s. Then the get right back on the horse and take the lead at -16 with 2 net birdies at #17. However, 18 would loom large.
#18 was a Lone Ranger hole for the B player. Hanson, playing the golds found the water. Net Birdie by Hulkonen and a net par by Olson was not enough and they dropped 2 shots on 18 to come in at -14, one off the lead.
A few groups later the team of Von Eschen, P Hoffman, B. Barlow and K. Williams started charging up the leader board. They finished the front 9 at -10. Then, plugging away trying to keep the wheels on, found a way to get it to -16 and take the lead at -16 after 2 net birdies. They were at -16 standing on the 18th tee…
…Now it was their B player, P Hoffman with all the pressure…causing a double. They also dropped 2 shots on 18 to come in at -14, one off the lead.
The fourth place team of Steichen, Morse, Jocelyn and Allen turned it on in the final 9 with 2 holes of -4 each! The deepest that they would get was -11, finishing at -8.
The interesting finish of the day came from the final team off (Brynteson, Hahka, Nordstrom, Zedjlik). They got it to -11 after #15 and thought they had a chance. Until the dropped one shot at #16 and amazingly dropped 3 at #17. Limping on fumes then finished #18 and dropped 2 more to finish out of the money.

Great Tournament and a beautiful day congrats to the Champion’s
