Hoffman / Brynteson achieve the 3-peat as Gross Champs winning by 5 shots over Brian Beitlich & Dan Grubb. Howie & Richard raced out to a lead with 4 birdies in the first 6 holes in the scramble format. Then they went on to have the best score in the best ball format by shooting even par. Then in the alternate shot format they ALSO had the best score, dropping only 1 shot. In all, 5 birdies and 2 bogeys to finish at -3.
Finishing 2nd was Brian Beitlich & Dan Grubb at +2 (with bogeys on 17 & 18).
Third was Nick Hendrickson & Brad Jordan at +3. Even par through 15, then doubled 16 and bogeyed 17.
The Net Division was much, much tighter. There were 11 teams within 3 shots of the lead. In fact, after 12 holes, and only the Alternate Shot format remaining there were 15 teams within 3 shots of the lead. Look at this graphic and see what happened in the Alt Shot to impact the final scores!
Four teams shot a 25 (-2 net)in the Alt shot. The winners, and two T2’s and the aforementioned Beitlich/Grubb who finished T6 in net.
