Go Low Golf Calcutta presented by Mulligan’s has a tight finish.

18 teams broke the Net sub 70 mark in the best ball format. Who would hold it together…and who would choke? Below are the top 10 teams from round 1. Had to be a 67 or better to get into the top 10.

Top 10 after Round 1

Only 3 teams broke 70 in the Both Balls event. The blistering 65 by Huhn/Nde jumped them up 16 spots from T21 (72) in Round 1 to 5th place. Bolduc/Hearnen’s 68 added to their round 1’s 65 proved to me exactly what they needed to take the championship by 1 stroke at -11. They did this by both winning net skins on that last 9 holes with net eagles. Hulkonen/Cook shot an excellent 69 and paired that with their own 65 to finish 1 back tied with Soderling/Peters. Their 71 added to the 63 above also came in at -10.

There was then a playoff for 2nd place between Hulkonen/Cook and Soderling/Peters for 2nd place. With a lot of give and take, that ended on the 5th hole advantage Soderling/Peters. That is a total of 32 holes of golf for those 4 dudes.

The final results then were:

The Calcutta pot was paid out the the top 4 teams. The tournament pot is being paid out to the top 8.

Here are the other results:
