Dylan Niska
I am excited to put my name forward for a position on the Brookview Men’s Golf Association Board.
I have been an 11-year member of BMGA, and over those years I’ve had the opportunity to see the association evolve quite a bit. I remember the days of the old clubhouse, pouring our own beers, throwing steaks on the grill, and spending time together out on the old patio. It was casual, social, and a big part of what made BMGA special. Since then, we’ve moved into the new clubhouse and a more formal structure, while continuing to build on the camaraderie and traditions that have made this such a great men’s golf association.
I’d like to be part of helping BMGA navigate its next phase. I think we have a great foundation, and I’m excited about what the next generation of the association can look like. My goal would be to help maintain the traditions and social atmosphere that longtime members value while also bringing new ideas and making sure BMGA continues to attract and engage new members.
I also bring experience serving on nonprofit and youth sports boards. I spent four years as Director of Finance for the Hopkins Girls Basketball Association and two years serving on the Hopkins Baseball Association board. Those experiences gave me an appreciation for the work that goes on behind the scenes to keep an organization running well, make sound financial decisions, and create a positive experience for its members and participants.
Most importantly, I care about BMGA and the role it plays at Brookview. I’ve been a member long enough to have seen a lot of changes, but what hasn’t changed is the enjoyment of getting together with other guys, playing golf, competing, and having a few laughs along the way.
I’d be honored to have the opportunity to serve on the board and help shape the next chapter of BMGA.

I’m excited to put my name forward for a position on the Brookview Men’s Club Board of Directors.
Brookview has been much more than a golf course to me. It’s a place where friendships are built, competition is enjoyed, and members come together around a shared love of the game. Some of my favorite memories have come from rounds played, conversations shared, and fun nights on the deck.
I believe the strength of the Brookview Men’s Club comes from its members. My goal would be to help maintain the efficiency of the league, support great golf on Wednesdays and weekend tournaments, encourage participation across all age groups and skill levels, and ensure that members’ voices continue to be heard. I would be honored to serve and help ensure that the Brookview Men’s Club continues to thrive for current and future members.

Chris Tietz
I have a strong passion for golf and would be excited for the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and success of the Brookview Men’s Golf League. Living close to the course, Brookview has become an important part of my local community, and I would like to play a more active role in helping the league continue to build on what makes it special.
One of my biggest goals would be to help create a cohesive vision among league members—bringing people together, strengthening relationships, and making sure members feel connected to both the league and one another. I believe the best leagues are built not only around competition, but also around camaraderie, participation, and a shared sense of community.
I also bring experience serving on the board of the Excelsior Chamber of Commerce for six years, including roles as a member, Treasurer, and President. That experience taught me the value of listening to different perspectives, building consensus, taking responsibility, and being willing to step in wherever help is needed.
I would be willing to take on whatever role or responsibilities the league believes would be most valuable. My goal isn’t necessarily to have a particular title—it’s to contribute wherever I can make a difference.
I would also like to help introduce new members to the league who align with its mission, culture, and playing level. Growing the league with the right people can strengthen the experience for everyone while maintaining the character and camaraderie that make Brookview unique.
Personally, I see the league as an opportunity to continue improving—not just as a golfer, but as a person. Golf has a way of challenging you, humbling you, and bringing people together, and I value all of those aspects of the game.
Finally, I really appreciate the direction the current board has taken the league. In particular, I think the weekend events have been a great addition and have created more opportunities for members to get together and enjoy the game outside of the traditional league format. I would be excited to help build on that momentum and contribute to the continued evolution of the Brookview Men’s Golf League.
James Brown III
I am interested in being on the board of directors because I have loved the group of golfers I’ve gotten to meet this last year. I see how successful the league has been since some members have been in it for 20+ years. I’d would appreciate the opportunity to continue to guide and support the league and make positive impacts with decisions going forward. I used to work in setting up golf trips to Ireland and Scotland. A large part of that was making sure to have competitive enjoyable games throughout the trip and I could bring that to the league as well.

Paul Yakshe
My name is Paul Yakshe, and I have been a grateful BMGA member since 2003. After retiring from gastroenterology in 2023, I wanted to give back to the league. I was elected to the board of directors and am completing a three-year term, including the past two years as Treasurer. During my tenure, I have gained a deeper understanding of the league’s operations, helped resolve IRS-related issues, and secured several sponsors. I remain committed to serving the BMGA and would appreciate your vote to continue in whatever capacity the board needs.
