Club – Senior & Super Senior Championships Re-Cap

We had a great field vying for the titles this for the Club and Senior Championships! With the exception of one flight, the leaders after Saturday saw charges and passes from behind to win the titles.

The Club Championship had a tightly compacted group after day 1 with 2 people sharing a one shot lead and 2 people only one shot back…Sunday saw a charge from behind from Nick Hendrikson to finish one stroke ahead  defend and become the repeat club champion…CONGRATS NICK!!! Hoffmann and Pacyna finished tied for second. (Hendriskson 158, Hoffmann & Pacyna 159)
CC Champ Flight

Flight one was also tightly compacted after Saturday with 5 people within 2 strokes of each other. On Sunday, a deep comeback from behind saw Richard Brynteson force a playoff with Ryan Pula…with a par on the first playoff hole Ryan took the flight…CONGRATS RYAN!!! Mark Kraus and Erik Pederson rounded out the flight for 3rd and 4th places. (Pula & Brynteson 160, Kraus 162, Pederson 163)

CC Flt #1

Flight 2 was a little different with 2 people securely in the lead of that pack…Pete Steichen led by two over Roger Hamm…and once again, a charge from behind, on the final 9 holes, saw Hamm pass and win flight 2 by one stroke…CONGRATS ROGER!!! Dean Penk and Stan Hop rounded out that flight in a tie for 3rd. (Hamm 162, Steichen 163, Penk & Hop 173)

CC Flt #2

Flight 3 also had a final day charge from behind when Mark Lange overcame a 4 shot deficit to win his first flight championship…CONGRATS MARK!!! Ermin Cicic finished 2nd, Richard Brower finished 3rd and Brian Egan rounded that flight out in fourth. (Net Scores -Lange 143, Cicic 144, Brower 146, Egan 147)

CC Flt #3

As was the case in the Club Championship, the Seniors Championship was just a tightly compacted and competed. But again, a late Sunday afternoon charge saw the Saturday leader get passed up. Perry Jacobson overcame a 3 shot deficit, with a smooth 74 on Sunday to win the Senior Club Championship…CONGRATS PERRY!!! Jim Sanford and Steve Hartmann rounded the field in this championship. (Jaconson 158, Sanford 164, Hartmann 165)

SR Chmp Flt

The only flight not bringing a charge from behind was the Senior Flight #1….with a 6 shot lead after Saturday, Roger Hamm only extended his lead on Sunday with 2 consecutive 81s to win this flight by 9 shots…CONGRATS ROGER!!! Dean Penk finished 2nd with Ermin Cicic on his tails and Chuck Bernardy finished 4th to round out this flight. (Net Scores – Hamm 134, Penk 143, Cicic, 145, Bernardy 147)

SR Chmp Flt #1

The SUPER SENIOR championship is a one day event contested on Sunday. This year, the event was played from the white tees (rather than Gold tees). We had 4 entrants in the field this year and this event had Richard Koppy taking them down with a net 72…CONGRATS RICHARD!!! Finishing in 2nd was Doug Paquette with a net 75.
