Week 1 is in the books and the weather conditions could not have been better!
NOTE FROM RICHARD: We have confirmed that when posting the 9-hole scores from Golf Genius you CANNOT add stats after the fact in the GHIN App. However, it does work for 18-hole rounds (i.e. Weekend Tournaments). Golf Genius is aware of this, working on an update but we do not have a timeline yet. I apologize for misspeaking about this as the 18-hole vs 9-hole limitation wasn’t listed in their support documents.
Scoring: Thank you all for your patience as we worked through some of the kinks in our new league scoring system. All scores have now been entered and posted to your GHIN.

- Scorecards: Scorecard hygiene was mostly good, but there were some ugly ones…
- Confirm your handicap using the GHIN app before teeing off.
- We had 7 incorrect handicaps this week. GHIN and Golf Genius are our source of truth for handicaps, not the scorecard.
- You may want to check your playing partners handicap as well…

- Tee field: Should be either BW or Gold.
- If we don’t know you played on the gold tees, we’re assuming you were on the Blue / White if it is not filled in.

- Other Stats: For ease of legibility, the official card should not include anything other than the fields that are on there.
- Circles for wins and dots for handicap holes are acceptable.
- If people want to keep track of net points, how much they’re up down, etc… use a separate card for that.
- This is what good looks like. We may start a “Hall of Shame” for ugly cards going forward.

Hi @richard-brynteson,
You mentioned that we would be able to add stats to our wnl scores after they appear in the ghin app. Is there a special way to do that, because I do not have the option to do so. I tried in both the app and on desktop.
Thanks!
Brad, I think you can do it online only. Take a look at the image I attached. The score from Shamrock (don’t judge) has a blue line chart on the right side. This indicates that has stats entered.
The one from University does not have that icon, so I clicked the dropdown arrow and was presented the screen to add them.
Hope that helps.
Thanks, Roger! I did check the online version as well, and our wnl round isn’t listed to edit. I’m guessing the issue is one of two possibilities.
1. GHIN won’t let you edit stats until it’s combined with another 9 hole round. Or
2. The score was not imported to ghin in hole by hole format.
I didn’t play last week so I don’t have a means to check it out. I’ll try to get my hands on someones phone / account who played last week. I’ve done this a bunch of times with rounds we posted last year for weekend events and never had a problem with it. I’ll do some looking into it as well.
Brad –
I spoke with Golf Genius and apparently your guess is correct, it is not posting hole-by-hole for nine-hole scores. They do for 18 hole rounds. They did mention that they are currently working on an update for this due to the new USGA rules for nine-hole handicaps. I apoligize for misspeaking about it at the Spring Meeting. I had done it with 18 hole weekend tournaments and it didn’t occur to me they wouldn’t post scores in the same way for 9 hole rounds.
