The forecast caused many of us to pack rain gear that turned out to be dead weight as it ‘twas a fine beautiful evening for golf, aye so it ’twas. No aces this week – we were on pace for 16 after the first week of play but now we’re only on pace for 8 this year. Boring. Week 3 had a lot of close matches, with Team Hack Attack dominating the night with 46.5.
- Team Hack Attack: 46.5; Bald Man Brewing Co: 33.5
- The Loopers: 44.5; Putt 4 Dough: 35.5
- Who’s Your Caddy: 42.5; I Like Big Putts: 37.5
- Mid-Round Crisis: 42.5; WTF: 37.5
- Pin Seekers: 42; CTB: 38
- ForePlay: 41; Par then Bar: 39
- Last Call: 41; Range Balls: 39
- Zed Heads: 40.5; Fairway 2 Heaven: 39.5
The Divisions are still tight, especially the GVC West with Par then Bar and Pin Seekers tied at 85.5 total points with Team Hack Attack lurking in 3rd with 83 points after their monster week. But shockingly The Loopers of the BCC South are leading everyone with 88 total points. And without their lucky rugby shirts, nice work fellas! Must be due to Sutton’s leadership and/or those flashy pinstripe pants of his.
Scorecard of Shame: None…again. This bit died before it could start – really nice work on the cards, fellas. I’ll have a printout of the callaway scoring rules/calculations available for those to use as needed starting next week. Remember, if you don’t have an official GHIN index by the June 15th revision, you will play as a scratch for the 2nd half of the season until you have one. So new guys: get those 5 rounds in (two 9-hole rounds count as 1 round). Everyone: be sure to enter your scores into GHIN (at the course, online, mobile, fax) as soon as possible after each and every round you play.
Congrats to our weekly winners. Gavin May (of best-in-class Mid-Round Crisis) grabbed two nearies on the back side. What a stud. And Brad Jordan (another Crisis member) has his name peppered all over the place down there. He will be watched closely by the WNL Director from here on out to ensure proper posting of scores.
