Matt Grove and his team, CTB, finally broke through and get their names on the trophy! It was a very close match (41.5-38.5) against Alec Johnson’s Par then Bar, coming down to the last match.
Here it is from the words of the winning captain: “It was all tied up after the first 3 teams had finished their matches, and it came down to the last group. It was a little nerve wracking since Wayne from CTB conceded the hole before even reaching the green (Little did we know the he had won his match. Colby from Alec’s team had a brutal 3-putt that pushed his match on the last hole. CTB would not be denied 2 years in a row! Our last team came in with the win. Alec’s Team was a tough competitor and gave us a real challenge on the last night. Definitely how a championship match should end.”
Not a bad season for the rookie captain, Alec, and his squad who earn $30 each for their efforts.
