The Golden team, stinging from it’s first loss last week, fails to bounce back losing to first place Fountain Valley. Dave Repinski, making his 2nd start could not follow his great 6 point performance and limped home with 1. Paul Yakshe in his first start shot a decent net 76 and split his match. Dan Olson, up to his normal standard dropped a net 68 and was able to get 5 points. Dave Bialke shot a net 79 and was buzz-sawed for the 2nd straight week by a net 65. This is what Dave had to say in an exclusive interview. With the loss the team falls to T6 in the league.
The Valley team, still trying to climb out of the cellar took on 4th place Braemar. Ramiro Sifuentes could not keep the hot roll going, getting swept by a net 70 opponent. Darin Allen shot a net 76 but could only manage 1 point. Captain Sheldon Silberman shot a net 72 and he was only able to get 2 points. Luckily Doug Diedrich came to the rescue with a net 72 and swept his opponent. Valley remains in the cellar.
Next Friday is an off week for the league, but we return to action at home when Golden hosts. Golden plays Columbia and Valley takes on Bunker Hills.
