Team 1, Eric Swanson, Michael Tanaka, Brian Egan and Kevin Ahtou teed off first and posted a score that would prove to be tough to beat – An even par 144. The clubhouse leader stayed that way for quite a while…
…Until an hour and 20 minutes later Team 12 of Charles Bernardy, Brad Soderling, Patrick Hoffmand and Chris Gaspard came in at -1 (143). They had it as low as -3 after #12, but took bogeys on 15 & 16 and finished at the -1 mark. Then all eyes were on…
Team 2 of Brad Jordan, Corey Smith (our sponsor), Matt Fiebig and Stan Hop. They teed off 40 minutes behind Team 12 and saw that -1 get posted. No worries, because they had it to -4 on #13. Until a double bogey on 14, bogey on 15 and another on 17, leaving them at even par with #18 to play. Jordan rolled in a long birdie putt from off the green and Stan Hop delivered the par putt to bring them to -1 and a tie for first. An exciting finish indeed.

There were 12 !! on course prizes to be had this week where Ted Roberts and John Von Eschen really cashed. in. John and Gerry Meier were on the same team and won 25% of the on course prizes but finished towards the bottom. Must be a story there…
