Apologies for the delay in getting this posted. I know everyone was on pins and needles anticipating who had made the championship!
Moving onto the final is Par Then Bar and Bald Man Brewing. Tee times for the championship round are this Wednesday at 4 and 4:10. With gorgeous weather in the forecast all are welcome to come celebrate the champions and last official night of Wednesday Night League. Whether you decide to tell your significant other that the league year is coming to a close is up to you.
The 2024 BMGA WNL regular season is officially complete. Thank you to everyone for the great season!
Brooky Strong, Par Then Bar, and Mid-Round Crisis held off charges from Dukes of Hazards and Foreplay over the last few weeks to secure the final wild card spots.
We’ll be working to confirm the tee times for the 1st round of playoffs next week. Captains will be reaching out with the pairing and tee times in the coming days.

The penultimate week is in the books. With one more week of league play remaining, the playoff picture is coming into focus. We’ll see if Dukes of Hazards or Foreplay can complete their comebacks to gain the 2nd wild card spot in each conference. As mentioned below, lots of individual prizes and a spot in the shootout are also still up for grabs.
Scoring: All scores have now been entered and posted to your GHIN.
Week 15 is in the books, and there are only 3 weeks left, including the makeup week. Time to bank some chits, move up the shootout standings, and get your teams in position for the playoff run. Also time to get things dialed in for the Calcutta (it’s never too early to get your team registered).
Scheduling Note: Tee times the last 3 weeks are moved up. The first tee times the remaining weeks are:
August 21st (start at 3:20 PM)
August 28th (start at 3:10 PM)
September 4th (start at 3:00 PM)
Scoring: All scores have now been entered and posted to your GHIN.
The rain stayed away and we were able to get another great night for WNL. Heading into Club Championship weekend, there were lots of golfers out there with their gamed dialed in. Then there were others who were using 3 different putter grips over the course of 9 holes or playing an 800 yard par 5 that spanned 3 different holes.
Lots of low nets this week. Net 31 was a popular number with people getting dialed in for the Club Championship. Maybe you can pool the chit money together for a bucket of balls to share at the range…
Good luck to all of those playing this weekend!
Rain Makeup Date: Set your calendars for Wednesday, September 4. With the rainout for the original Week 14, we will be utilizing the rain make-up date. Hopefully the rest of the year stays dry. If however, either of the last 2 weeks rain out, those 2 weeks will be prioritized for the make up as they are divisional weeks.
Additionally, keep in mind that we are moving tee times up the last few weeks to accommodate daylight. The rain makeup date tee times are moved up 30 minutes, with the first group teeing off at 3:00. Please start coordinating with your captain on your availability for September 4. We’ll do our best to set firm tee times as soon as possible.
Scoring: All scores have now been entered and posted to your GHIN.
With the weeks shifting after the rain date, I had to call the IT desk (Richard Bryneston) to fix some Golf Genius issues. He was able to get things sorted out and scored correctly. Thank you, Richard, for all the help as we work through our first year with Golf Genius!
The playoff picture is coming into focus. With only 5 weeks left the last wild card spot in each league is up by 24 points. Plenty of time for a last minute push, but the next few weeks will be crucial.
Scoring: All scores have now been entered and posted to your GHIN.
Note: 6.5 points from Team 9 are not currently reflected in the weekly standings due to Kam Hanson playing 2 rounds. The 6.5 points have been added to the standings below and will be updated in the aggregate Golf Genius scoring next week.
Once again, we didn’t let the weather on a Wednesday get the best of us. Appreciate everyone showing up on the adjusted time and keeping things moving to get the round in.
Sponsor of the Week / Sponsor Minute: Back by “popular request”, this spot is open to plug our gracious BMGA sponsors. Please send me your copy or we’ll revert to Brad Jordan (or ChatGPT) to say something fun about your business.
Handicaps: Hate to be a broken record, but…
There continues to be an uptick in handicaps on the scorecard that don’t match what is in GHIN. (especially when the back is playing shortened)
GHIN is the source of truth when it comes to handicap, not what is on the scorecard.
This can come into play when determining putts to give on a hole you may or may not be getting strokes on.
Best Practice: Check you and your playing opponents handicap to ensure they’re up to date.
Scoring: All scores have now been entered and posted to your GHIN.
