Week 4 is in the books! The greens were rolling fast and the pace continues to be good. It’s hard to believe we’re over 20% of the way through the WNL season. There is still plenty of time for teams to work their way up the standings.
Score Cards: Lots of great looking cards this week! Both low scores (sorry Howie and Richard) and completed fields.
- Tee Box: We were down to only 2-3 cards that were missing tee box. Continue to mark if you’re playing Blue / White or Gold to help ensure we’re applying the correct handicap
- Tee Time: Also, down to only 2-3 cards that were missing tee times. In fact, they may have been the same 2-3. Having your tee time on the card helps to ensure we have all of the cards at the end of the night.
- Hole Max: A reminder, per the League Guide, if you reach 8 strokes and you have not yet holed out, you are to pick up your ball. If this happens (or you concede your hole outside of a given putt) please mark an X on your scorecard for the hole. This is new for this year and helps scorekeeping in Golf Genius. It is also in line with the new USGA handicap guidelines for holes that are not finished.
The League Guide (which Roger has memorized) calls out if you hit the hole max the best you can do is tie the hole (if both you and your playing partner hit the max). Regardless of your handicap.
