Since we had this week off, I thought I’d delay last week’s results a bit to keep things fresh…. that, and I just didn’t get around to it. Anyway, the reporting is a little trickier now as their are so many variations as to how teams can get into the playoffs. Please click the link below to check out weekly scores and the playoff seeding if the season were to end now. It also shows you how many points back you are from a playoff spot. Remember that: Most overall points = Number 1 seed; Second overall points = Number 2 seed; 1st half winner / 2nd half winner (that didn’t win 1st overall or second overall) = Number 3 / 4 seed (that seeding will be determined by margin of victory… so should the first half winner win by 1.5 points, and the send half winner win by 1 point, than the first half winner will get the 3rd seed); Third overall points (that didn’t win 1st or 2nd half) = 5th seed; Fourth overall points (that didn’t win 1st or 2nd half) = 6th seed.
For example, Young Gunz won the first half. Should Young Gunz win 1st or 2nd overall, then the 1st half winner goes to the team that was 2nd in the first half, which was Drawshank… however, if Drawshank gets 1st or 2nd overall as well, then the winner of the 1st half would be the team that was 3rd in the first half, which was CTB.
Given the 6 team playoff format, all of you still have a great shot at the playoffs. Range Balls is a great example of that. Range Balls finished dead last in the first half, but as of Week 10 are tied for 1st in the 2nd half with Team Zejdlik. Drawshank kicked off the 2nd half strong with a 50.5 week, but since they are currently 1st overall in points, they can’t also take the 2nd half winner playoff spot. Clear as mud?
