In what is believed to be the first ever 27 hole club championship, due to rain, we ended up with a fantastic Sunday and a down to the wire finish.
In the Club Championship – Championship Flight. Howard Hoffman came back from a 4 stroke deficit after the first day, shooting a -3 (69) to win the tournament at even par (108). Tim Lueder, finished at +1 (109) to take second place. Justin Wallace – opting out of the 1st Flight – finished at +4 (112) and Richard Brynteson / Nick Hendrikson finished at +6 (114).
In the Senior Club Championship, Steve Hartmann took back the title from last year’s champion – Tom Hansen. Hartmann went into Sunday with a share of the lead with Perry Jacobson and shot a closing round of 79 to win with a +10 (118). Hansen finished in a tie for second place with Tom Nestvold shooting a +11 (119). Rounding out the top 5 were Perry Jackson +13 and Mark Kraus +15.
In the first flight, we have declared a new “people’s champion”. Tom Nestvold cruised two a +11 (119) victory over Jeff Towey +13 (121). Third place was a tie with Ben Peterson and Mark Kraus. Matthew Payne finishs fifth at +15.
In the second flight, junior Club Historian, predicted his victory early in the week shooting a +15 (123). Second place went to Steve Shellenbaum at +16 (124). Craig Wethington (+18), Nick Ward (+20) took 3rd and 4th respectfully. A tie for fifth between Matt McClernan, Brent Lindstrom and Paul Yakshe.
In the net flight, we had a tie for first place and unfortunately we didn’t get our playoff. So Steve Couture and Rahul Tamhane will share honors at +3. Doug Pauqette (+4) and Dylan Airhart (+5) take 3rd and 4th. In another big tie, John Bolduc, Richard Courtney and Dan Gregorich tie for 5th.
In the senior net flight, Steve Shellenbaum lapped the field for a six stroke victory with his -3 (105). Second place went to Steve Couture at +3. A tie for third at +4 with Gerald Meier and Doug Paquette. Lastly, Brent Lindstrom and Roger Hamm finished at +5 in fifth place.
In the Super Senior Flight, we had a three way tie for first place between Randy Zejdlik, Paul Yakshe and Dan Olson.
1st place paid out $125.00 and 200 Cup Points. 2nd place $95.00 and 120 Cup Points. 3rd Place $65.00 and 75 Cup Points. 4th Place $30 and 50 Cup Points. 5th Place paid out $15.00 and 30 Cup Points. Players in ties will see combined and lower winnings.
1st place paid out $125.00 and 200 Cup Points. 2nd place $95.00 and 120 Cup Points. 3rd Place $65.00 and 75 Cup Points. 4th Place $30 and 50 Cup Points. 5th Place (except Champ Flight) paid out $15.00 and 30 Cup Points. Players in ties will see combined and lower winnings.
1st Place Super-Senior paid $60. 2nd Place paid $40.
Ties will be broken up between the tied individuals.
