Gentlemen of the BMGA:
Based on conversations with Brookview staff play is a GO for Week #5.
The following are in play for tonight:
- Lift, Clean and Place – Lift, clean and place will be in effect through the green with the exceptions of bunkers and penalty areas. If a bunker has standing water, the player does not get to drop the ball out of the bunker into the general area to avoid the water. Instead the player must place the ball:
- Nearest to the ball’s original spot, but not nearer the hole than that spot,
- In the required area of the course, and
- Where that abnormal course condition least interferes with the stroke you would have made from the original spot if the condition was not there.
- Power Carts – Power carts will be allowed.
- USGA Handicap Index – Effective tonight, any BMGA WNL Member without a USGA Handicap Index will play as a scratch golfer (Handicap = Zero).
- Irrigation System Work – Work continues on the new irrigation system. Equipment is staged between Holes 9 and 18 with no active work today. For more information, see the post below.
