Q: When does the league start and how long does it run?
A: The 18-week Wednesday Night League (WNL) season starts on April 26 with three weeks of playoffs in September. See the calendar for weekend events that run into October.
Q: How much does it cost to join Wednesday Night League (WNL)?
A: All WNL members must purchase a BMGA Membership ($80) + WNL Fees ($350) + Brookview Club Member Card + USGA Handicap.
Members pay $430 to the BMGA and Club Member Card and Handicap is purchased through Brookview. Prices for Club Member Card and Handicap depend on age, residency, etc.
Q: What is included for WNL for $430 plus the other stuff?
A: All players green fees in the regular and post season are included, weekly prizes, end of year prizes, end of year banquet and access to the patio with drinks each Wednesday during league.
Q: Who can join?
A: Anyone age 18+, regardless of gender.
Q: Is this a competitive league?
A: Yes. There is a maximum handicap applied for all players of 18 (for 9 holes) or 36 (for 18-hole events). All players are required to hold a valid USGA Handicap and post all scores – regardless of the course played at.
All players will play from the Member Tees (6300 yards) or Gold Tee (60+ years of age or older).
All play is governed by USGA Rules.
Q: Me and my best 3 friends want to join. Can we play each week together as a foursome always?
A: No. League play is done by teams with 12 players per team. In April, Captains will draft new players so it is very unlikely you and your 3 best friends will all end up on the same team. Each week, 8 members of the team play in groups of 2 for individual and team points against another team.
Q: What happens if I cannot get into WNL?
A: We encourage you to register for the BMGA and play in our Weekend Events. We have 10 amazing weekend tournaments held from May to October. Cost is $80 to join the BMGA and a one-day weekend tournament is only $50. This $50 includes green fees, prize pool and 2-drink tickets.
Being a BMGA Member gives your priority registration to WNL the following year.
