WNL Week 9 Recap (6/19/24)

We’re shockingly already at the midway point of the season! Wednesday continues to be the best night of the week for golf in the Twin Cities. Hoping the trend continues for the back half of the year.

Did I miss @brookystrong trending last weekend?

Handicaps:

  • There continues to be an uptick in handicaps on the scorecard that don’t match what is in GHIN. (especially when the back is playing shortened)
    • GHIN is the source of truth when it comes to handicap, not what is on the scorecard.
    • This can come into play when determining putts to give on a hole you may or may not be getting strokes on.
  • Best Practice: Check you and your playing opponents handicap to ensure they’re up to date.

Score Entry:

  • There are a handful of cards each week where the 9-hole scores is off a stroke or 2…
  • While the computer “does the math” having the total score is helpful to ensure the numbers were entered correctly into the computer.

Scoring:  All scores have now been entered and posted to your GHIN.
