The shootout – where the top 24 point getters in WNL and the Weekend events vie for a major accomplishment and be the last one standing after 18.
After 9 holes there is a cut – This year due to conditions the cut came at +2 net. We only take 10 players to the 10th tee, so a chip off on #9 was due.
Where Shellenbaum, Bischel and Penk competed with Dean winning with a fine chip to 5′.
- Hole 10: Dylan Niska drops out.
- Hole 11: Hamm loses a chip off to Brynteson.
- Hole 12: 3 Way chip off between Brynteson, Schoeller and Penk. Penk drops out.
- Hole 13: Jesse Doughty beats Dave Schoeller in a chip off.
- Hole 14: Paul Carlson finds the water and is eliminated
- Hole 15: Ryan Brunt, Brett Nybo and Erik Swanson in a 2x chip off because they all missed the green with the first attempt. Swanson drops out.
- Hole 16: Ryan Brunt is eliminated with a gross bogey.
- Hole 17: Three players remain: Brynteson, Nybo, Doughty: Nybo just slides his par putt to the side and gets bounced.
- Hole 18: Bryteson gets a stroke, Doughty gets 2. Jesse has a chance to win it with about a 5′ putt and it goes to a chip off. Side hill lie in the rough down hill to the pin, breaking right. Richard goes first and gets it to 14 feet. Jesse cannot match that.

A mighty fine write up by the Hammster! Can’t make this stuff up. Great that you provided phots and videos taken by Mr. Saless! We get to relive the moments. I believe there may have been just 1 too many including the Lukester……Thanks to all you volunteers and players. A match for the ages in my humble opinion….
