The last two weekends have been busy ones for the BMGA weekend event players! We kicked off the BMW of Minnetonka Individual Match play tournament on the 9th, and the Grove Outdoor Services 2 person Match play on the 16th.
The weather on the 9th left more than a little to be desired, and the scores reflected that. Those who were able to battle the wind and green speeds were able to win their pillow fights and move on to the next round.
The 16th turned into an absolutely beautiful day on the golf course for the 2 man kick off. Despite a full field for this event, we only had 10 teams able to get out and kick it off on opening morning. A much more competitive round was had – with 3 of the 5 matches coming down to the 17 or 18.
A few followups for both tournaments.
- If you didn’t play opening weekend, the clubhouse has entered a raincheck on your behalf for 1 round.
- Please get your rounds scheduled ASAP – especially for the 2 man, we have a lot of matches that need to be played this summer, and I’d rather not have to flip a coin to decide who wins because you’ve waited to long to play.
In additional tournament news. Signups are open for the next 6 event, all of which are now sponsored! Sign ups will open for the BMGA Club Championship, presented by Chi Chi’s, on Wednesday May 20th as well.
