2026 BMGA Club Championship presented by Chi Chi’s

What a weekend for the BMGA! The 2026 BMGA Club Championship delivered instant-classic drama, comebacks, and over $5,400 in total purse money distributed across the field.

From a thrilling 3-hole sudden-death playoff for the title to runaway victories in the Net and Senior divisions, here is your complete recap of all the action from our premier event of the year.

Main Championship Flight: Sudden Death Drama & Historic Stakes

The battle for the main Championship Flight trophy came down to the wire on Sunday, featuring two players finishing the 36-hole regulation tournament tied at 143 (-1 gross).

  • Playoff Drama: After matching each other shot-for-shot over 36 holes, Howard Hoffman (70-73) and Tim Lueder (72-71) headed back to the tee for a sudden-death playoff. It took three intense playoff holes, but Howard Hoffman finally prevailed to capture the title and the $120 top flight purse!
  • A Brush with History: Tim Lueder’s runner-up finish was nearly one for the record books. With Lueder capturing the Senior Club Championship title this weekend, a victory in the main playoff would have made him the first player in Brookview history to win both the Club Championship and Senior Club Championship in the same year (at least as far as our historical club records show)!
  • Sunday Low Round: Dave Supalla threw down the round of the tournament on Sunday, carding a blistering 3-under 69 (34 Out / 35 In) with 5 birdies to jump into a tie for 3rd place overall at 146 (+2) alongside Mike Manion (74-72=146).

Season Points Standings

Season points have been updated to reflect the Club Championship, as a BMGA Major this one has extra points! There’s a no leader at the top – no surprise on who that is. But there is still room in the field for lots of movement so make sure you sign up for the next two tournaments for your chance to make the shootout!

Full season point standings can be found here.

Thank You!
