Thrills, Ties, and Big Putts: Recapping the BMGA Stableford Tournament
The competition was fierce at this year’s BMGA Stableford Tournament (sponsored by Northern Tool + Equipment), featuring 44 golfers battling across 18 holes of modified scoring, skins games, and on-course challenges. With a total prize purse of $1,680.00 on the line, players delivered spectacular clutch shots, dramatic leaderboard ties, and impressive payouts.
🏆 Net Division: A Battle of the Joes
The main Net Division saw a neck-and-neck finish at the top of the leaderboard, culminating in a two-way tie for 1st place:
- Co-Champions (30 Points | $167.50 each): Joe Krueger (gross 86, net 70) and Joe Dvorak (gross 92, net 69) put on absolute masterclasses in Stableford scoring, each carding 30 points to share the crown.
- 3rd Place (27 Points | $120.00): Richard Brynteson fired a stellar gross 73 (net 69) to take solo third.
- 4th Place (25 Points | $110.00): Matt Haws shot a consistent gross 79 (net 71) for 25 points.
- Tied for 5th (24 Points | $82.50 each): Steve Shellenbaum (gross 83, net 72) and Jeff Towey (gross 80, net 72).
Rounding out the top ten were strong finishes from Craig Wethington, Ramiro Sifuentes, Eric Fryc (all T7 with 23 pts), and Kevin Hearnen, Roger Hamm, and Charles Bernardy (all T10 with 22 pts).
