The Minnesota Public Golf Association held it’s annual Senior Championship at a difficult Keller this past weekend (7/15-16) and Brookview again shined. Full results here (spoiler alert)
In the 65+ Division, Larry Hahka makes an appearance on a course he has never played before and had a hard time finding. With a positive attitude and his bag clattering along the fairways he failed to have his normal game and came in 31st place in a stacked field.
In the Net 2 division, we had five competitors: Hamm returned to try and defend his 2022 title, Bolduc, Steichen and Dan Olson were rookies in the competition, and Bernardy was making his 2nd straight appearance.
Dan Olson did not have his normal steller self and stumbled out of the gate and could not recover, posting 2 net scores that he would rather forget and finished 18th. Bolduc played ok on day 1 but had issues on his last 9 of the tournament to finish 16th. Hamm really struggled on day one and started day two 2 under net in the first 9, but also faltered stumbling to an 8th place finish.
Playing in the final group, due to their stellar play on Sat (Bernardy net 70 / Steichen net 72) Steichen shoots a gross 39 on the front 9 to Bernardy’s 41 making it a tight match. Then on hole 12, Bernardy hits a wall with a quad and Stiechen keeps the pressure on to finish with a gross 77, net 68 to win the event. Bernardy finishes at T3. A great finish by two fine competitors.
In the Net 1 division, Sifuentes returns to the event at his 2nd home course to try for a remarkable 3 peat, having won at Eastwood GC in 2021 and at Oak Marsh in 2022.
After day 1, Ramiro was tied for the lead at net 70 (-2). Playing in the last group, Ramiro sealed the deal with a 2 stroke victory after firing a stunning gross 73 (net 67).

Congratulations to all competitors for showcasing Brookview!
