Congrats to WNL first half winners!

This is a few weeks overdue, but congratulations to the first half winners: Team 4, Drive 4 Show!  They barely ousted Team 14, Drawshank Redemption.  In true dramatic fashion, the two teams played each other in the final first half week, with Team 14 having a slight edge.  It came down to the final group and even then it wasn’t clear who was the winner.  A Callaway adjustment needed to be made and only then could the points be added up…. Team 4 took it down by 1 point.

Each member of the winning Team 4 gets $40 in chits in the pro shop.  2nd place team, Team 14 gets $20 in chits per member and the 3rd place team, Team 13, Putt 4 Dough, gets $5 per member.  Don’t forget to collect!

BMGA SENIORS STILL COMPETITIVE IN METRO LEAGUE

From Jim Sanford:

Brookview’s over-50 contingent continues to do well in the Friday Metro Seniors League.  After six matches of the 16-match season the BMGA men were tied for the top spot.  And even after being edged by the co-leaders from University last week, our boys are only four points out of first. Match number 8, half-way point of the year, is at Como this week and BMGA is looking to regain the summit.

Metro Seniors is a league of 16 twin cities area public access courses.  Different clubs host each Friday and the format is four-man (A, B, C, D), fully handicapped, match play, with six points available in each match.  Any BMGA member over 50 who would like to play should contact either Jim Sanford or Steve Slivken, co-captains.
